Bluejays drop Eagle boys hockey team

Waseca 3-2-2 = 7
Windom Area 0-2-2 = 4

Special teams proved to be the difference Saturday as Waseca rolled to a 7-4 victory over the Windom Area boys hockey team at the Windom Arena.

The Bluejays scored four power play goals on five chances and added a shorthanded goal on the Eagles' only power play chance of the game.

Down 5-0, the Eagles got on the scoreboard late in the second period on goals from Kyle Espenson and Mikal Anderson.

The Eagles added goals from Matt Stubbe and Noah Kloss in the third period.

Waseca outshot the Eagles 29-20. Goalie Josiah Quintero finished with 22 saves.
