MnDOT leaders continue to look at safety fixes for Highway 60 at Mt. Lake

(Today's updates: 9 a.m., noon, 3 p.m.)

Despite resolutions opposing MnDOT proposals, Mt. Lake's intersections are still under MnDOT consideration for proposed safety fixes.

Cottonwood County Commissioners and the Mt. Lake City Council passed resolutions opposing J-Turns. According to the council resolution, members do not feel J-Turns are safe, efficient or reliable for Mt. Lake's intersections.

Cottonwood County Commissioners Tom Appel and Norm Holmen visited with MnDOT officials in Mankato recently to discuss concerns the commissioners were hearing from the Mt. Lake Area Highway 60 Concerned Citizens group and others.
