County security grant brings $14,000 for upgrades

It appears Cottonwood County will receive more than $14,000 in a grant that promises to help upgrade security at the Courthouse.

Cottonwood County's grant is officially $29,689, according to Sheriff Jason Purrington. However, it is a matching grant, so the county will foot the other half of the bill.

Upgrades will occur in 2017.
