2/12/2018 8:34:00 AM State-ranked Panthers race past Eagle girls
TMB 39-14 = 65 Windom 14-19 = 33 State-ranked Tracy-Milroy-Balaton had little trouble Friday night, cruising to a 65-33 victory over the Windom girls basketball team at Windom.
The Panthers pressured the Eagles into 24 turnovers and held the Eagle offense in check the entire game. TMB raced to a 25-point halftime lead and pushed the lead to over 35 points in the second half.
Delaney Smith led the Eagles with 12 points. Maurissa Isaacs added eight points.
RRC 19-29 = 48 Lakeview 23-05 = 28 Red Rock Central ratcheted up the defense in the second half Saturday as it claimed a 48-28 win over Lakeview in a game played at Southwest Minnesota State University in Marshall.
RRC trailed 23-19 at halftime, but the Falcons held Lakeview to five second-half points and just one made field goal. The Falcons used an 18-1 run to take control of the game, taking the lead on a three-point play from Karina Klabunde and a three-pointer from Stephanie Amsden.
Haley Simonson led the Falcons with 20 points, 10 rebounda and six assists. Vanessa Kedl added eight points in the win.
